AUTISM

Autism
At 19 months, shortly after his DPT vaccination, Carl developed autism with retarded speech.  After his fifth HBO treatment, Carl’s teachers reported a remarkable change in his ability to match.  At the tenth treatment, his mom reported that Carl had been playing an interactive game and had spoken a complete sentence.  After the treatments finished, Carl was taking his coat and shoes off, playing with his sister, and his mom said he had come a long way from his earlier habit of just sitting and shaking his head.
FRACTURE

fracture
Cole came to ProHBO with a cast from his groin to his toes as the result of a dirt bike accident causing a closed tibia/fibula fracture.  A hockey scholarship to college would start in 6 weeks if Cole was able to play.  Cole’s orthopedic surgeon said that HBOT was a waste of time and money.  After the first treatment, Cole noticed the swelling had gone down in his leg and his cast was loose.  After 10 HBOT  treatments at ProHBO, Cole returned to his surgeon two weeks after his accident.  X-rays were taken and a shocked Orthopedist replaced Cole’s full leg cast with a lower leg cast and stated that it looked like Cole showed 8 weeks of healing.  Cole is playing hockey at full strength and his college scholarship is secure.
STROKE

stroke
In 2003, Harold suffered a stroke (a new cerebral ischemic event) following CABG and A-Fib. Harold came to ProHBO with decreased peripheral vision, left-side weakness, decreased functionality and some cognitive and memory problems. After five treatments, Harold noticed his balance improving. After 13 treatments Harold had full movement of his left arm.  Harold was full of energy and said he had a bounce in his step. By his 31st treatment Harold had regained 90 degrees of his peripheral vision. At the end of his treatments, Harold noticed that his memory and cognitive skills had improved.  Harold was back for one booster in 2005 and one booster in 2007 and had shown improvement each time.

TRAUMA

trauma
Sheri had a subdural hematoma caused when she was hit by a deployed airbag.  The result was right-sided weakness and dysphagia. After her first HBOT treatment, Sheri slept through the night for the first time since her accident.  After her 6th treatment, her husband noticed her right hand was more relaxed and partially opened.  After 10 treatments Sheri was able to completely extend her right fingers.  At treatment 33 Sheri noticed more strength and dexterity in her right ankle.  After 40 treatments Sheri had improved but was still on a long road to complete recovery.
LYMES

lymes
Brittney was bitten by a tick causing a bull’s eye lesion with symptoms of viral encephalopathy. No specific diagnosis of Lymes disease was made. Brittney could not walk, speak clearly and had gross spasticity throughout her body. Brittney became progressively more alert during her HBOT treatments. After 30 treatments, Brittney’s physical therapist said Brittney had greatly improved and was following commands as well as increased strength and clarity of speech. Two months after being treated, Brittany was speaking with 4 to 5 word sentences. One year after therapy, Brittney was walking 250 feet without assistance. Three years after therapy, Brittney made a full recovery, had straight A’s in school and received an academic scholarship to college. Brittany was in the top 2-percentile in her verbal SAT test and now drives a car.
